All rights reserved<\/i><i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Camera obscura is the\u00a0natural optical phenomenon that occurs when an image of a scene at the other side of a screen is projected through a small hole in that screen as a reversed and inverted image on a surface opposite to the opening.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">In Edinburgh, it is the name of one of the most entertaining museums I have ever been to!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Camera Obscura is a museum encompassing five floors of\u00a0optical experiences.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-5875 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/20120722-063326-2.jpg?resize=300%2C215&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"20120722-063326\" width=\"300\" height=\"215\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/20120722-063326-2.jpg?resize=300%2C215&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/20120722-063326-2.jpg?w=415&amp;ssl=1 415w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5871\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5871\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5871 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/various-123-300x231-300x231.jpg?resize=300%2C231&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"various-123-300x231\" width=\"300\" height=\"231\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5871\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Entrance<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Working our way from the bottom of the building to the top, we first experienced the Magic Gallery. \u00a0Here, we made our way through a mirror maze and then into the giant spinning kaleidoscope. \u00a0I must admit, walking through a spinning, lighted tunnel was extremely difficult but fascinating. \u00a0Although the surface your feet is touching does not move, only the tunnel around you, your mind is tricked to the point that you think that you are spinning. \u00a0Being that I am subject to vertigo, I almost fell to the ground when I walked into the tunnel. \u00a0I had to close my eyes and feel my way to the end holding the handrail. \u00a0My son on the other hand, went back five times!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5868\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5868\" style=\"width: 660px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5868 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Camera-Obscura-and-World-of-Illusions.jpg?resize=660%2C440&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"camera-obscura-and-world-of-illusions\" width=\"660\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Camera-Obscura-and-World-of-Illusions.jpg?resize=1024%2C683&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Camera-Obscura-and-World-of-Illusions.jpg?resize=300%2C200&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Camera-Obscura-and-World-of-Illusions.jpg?resize=768%2C512&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/snappingtheglobe.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/Camera-Obscura-and-World-of-Illusions.jpg?w=1200&amp;ssl=1 1200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5868\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The kaleidescope tunnel.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Other floors explore Electricity, Moving Pictures, Optical Illusions and Moving Light and Lenses. \u00a0There are so many things to do here, boredom would never be an issue and it is an amazing place to bring children.
