All rights reserved.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Outside the Oude Kerk (Old Church), near the Red Light District, a bronze sculpture embedded in the cobblestones, appeared one night in 1993.<\/p>\n<p>It was the fourth statue or sculpture to appear in a random spot in the city. The City Council had no idea who was behind the appearance of these statues and sculptures and had it removed. After extending an invitation to the anonymous maker to come to City Hall, the City Council finally discovered his identity.
